The best #IDS #reshuffle Tweets

Despite rumours last week (repeated here) that Iain Duncan Smith was to be moved in David Cameron’s reshuffle, he seems to have clung on. Many on Twitter reacted with disbelief. Here are some of the best Tweets I found on the subject:

  1. I think the one at the top is best, although the cartoon is brilliant too.
Sorry Deborah Playford, but I don’t think the Tories would have any problem finding someone else with a lust for torture.

  2. Reblogged this on Beastrabban’s Weblog and commented:
Alittleecon posts the reactions on twitter of some of the people shocked that IDS has survived Cameron’s reshuffle. One of these is the comedian David Schneider, who has appeared on a variety of shows, including as Alan Partridge, where he played Partridge’s outraged boss. I think Schneider was also in The Day Today, the spoof news show that was the BBC’s precursor to Channel 4’s Brass Eye. If that’s the case, then he was used to bizarre news and even more bizarre politicos.
I am not remotely surprised that IDS has survived Cameron’s reshuffle. He was one of Cameron’s leading collaborators when Cameron was campaigning to take over the Tory party. He’s Cameron’s closest ally, and so the PM can’t afford to sack him.
